Jose Villa is amazing at capturing gorgeous getting ready images. However there’s a little more involved than just a great photographer.
Many brides overlook these simple details because there’s so much else going on, but if you’re paying your photographer for images of you getting ready, you might want to keep these in mind.
Clear the Clutter
Keep all clutter to one side of the room, away from the window (see Let in the Light later). A clean backdrop makes for a cleaner image.
Let in the Light
Let in as much window light as you can. The more soft, natural window light, the more romantic the pictures. If there is direct sunlight in the window, soften the light by draping a light (preferably white) fabric over the window.
Redo If You Need To
Sometimes brides and grooms move just a little to fast for a great shot. Or a bombardment of bridesmaids helping with the dress make block the bride altogether. Your photographer may ask you to redo putting on earrings or shoes. Sometimes great getting ready images are staged, but often look completely natural as a final product.
